About The Queen of Cups Tarot Card

The Queen of Cups is a serene and introspective figure, seated gracefully on a throne at the ocean's edge. In her hands, she cradles a golden cup adorned with angel-shaped handles. Unlike the open vessels in other Suit of Cups cards, this cup is closed, symbolizing that the Queen’s emotions and thoughts stem from the depths of her subconscious and soul.

Her stone throne is intricately decorated with sea-nymphs, fish, and scallop shells, all representing the mysteries of the unconscious mind, while the water symbolizes emotion, spirit, and perception. She is surrounded by a bright, cloudless sky and the calm, still waters of the sea.
