About The King of Cups Tarot Card

The King of Cups sits upon a large stone throne, dressed in a blue tunic and a golden cape, symbolizing his authority and high status. Around his neck hangs a small fish amulet, representing his creativity. In his right hand, he holds a cup, a symbol of emotions, while his left hand grasps a scepter, signifying power and control. Unlike other court figures in the Suit of Cups, he does not gaze at his cup, suggesting he has mastered his emotional realm and no longer needs to focus intently on it.

The King of Cups appears to be floating on a sturdy granite block amidst a churning sea. Behind him, on his right, a fish leaps from the water, and to his left, a ship sails steadily through the waves. These images symbolize the King’s ability to remain calm and composed even in turbulent situations.
